Auxiliary Aids and Services

Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas provides a variety of resources for job seekers with disabilities. A person with a disability as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has the right to access all services, programs, and activities provided at Workforce Centers. Please view a list of our available auxiliary aids and services in English or in Spanish. Service animals which is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks as accommodations for an individual with a disability are permitted.

Vocational Rehabilitation Services

A local resource available to help individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and retain or advance employment is Vocational Rehabilitation Services (formerly knows as DARS). This organization provides services for people with physical or cognitive disabilities, including blindness or visual impairment. To learn more about their services, you can visit their website or contact staff at the offices in Abilene (500 Chestnut, 10th floor) or Brownwood (2202 Hwy 377 S) or call 325-795-4200. Vocational Rehabilitation offices are conveniently located with our Workforce Solutions offices.
