Job Description:
- Reviews and follows requests for tests and procedures prescribed by physicians;
- Draws and processes specimens using various collection methods, including venipuncture, capillary collection, and arterial punctures, ensuring compliance with established procedures;
- Identifies and labels specimens accurately for testing;
- Provides appropriate care for a neonate, pediatric, adolescent, or geriatric patient based on demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the human life span;
Experience Required:
- Performing clinical laboratory specimen collection, evaluation, testing, and calibration of medical laboratory analyzers and equipment;
- Organizing and testing blood, body fluid, and tissue specimens to evaluate and report results accurately and efficiently; and
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel Spreadsheets.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Medical Technology or a related field, and 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or related occupation.
- Requires certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist/International Medical Laboratory Scientist (American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent).
Salary: $37,710 - $70,000 / year
