Field Technician

(Sweetwater)

Job Duties:

• Inspect and clean railcar interiors for compliance with customer, FRA, AAR and Tactical Cleaning requirements
• Maintain a top priority of a clean and safe work environment. This involves ensuring all company guidelines are met and all safety rules are followed when performing duties, including Tactical Cleaning's Health and Safety Program
• Maintain clear communication with fellow co-workers and management
• Use of water or an abrasive or fine material (sand) to clean out the interior of rail or tank cars
• Assist management with supplying information for daily reports and all necessary operational documents in an accurate and timely manner

Job Requirements:

• Ability to climb ladders, tolerate confined spaces and heights, bend, stoop, stretch, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. overhead on a consistent basis. This includes working safely around heavy equipment and on top of, under and inside railcars, and railroad tracks
• Ability and willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to operate a computer to perform daily work activities, with an understanding of basic computer software (MS Word, MS Excel)
• Knowledge of equipment and tools required to perform safe entry for cleaning (Familiarity with Sandblasting / Power Washing equipment)
• Have a valid driver's license

Salary:

• $18 - $19/hr
