Examples of Specific Work Performed:
- Routine patrol in assigned vehicle, to pick up dead animals, stray or trapped animals, unrestrained animals, reptiles and unlicensed dogs
- Enforce ordinances governing animal control including writing citations and testifying in court proceedings
- Investigate complaints of dogs or other animals that are creating a nuisance
- Answer questions and educate the public regarding animal control laws, ordinances, licensing and disposal of animals
- Assist with rabies control work
