Provides complex (journey-level) consultative and technical assistance to facility staff, including facility administrators and multidisciplinary teams consisting of case managers, educators, and youth coaches. Provides support for a multi-tiered system of support that involves the Texas Model of trauma-informed corrections in the education program. Provides or assists with providing, support to students in the Making a Plan for Success (MAPS) Center, which includes, but is not limited to, regulating student behavior, supporting social emotional learning, providing positive behavior supports, and incorporating restorative practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Four (4) years of full-time wage-earning experience that may be any combination of the following: youth development coach, casework, case management, or counseling experience; experience as a teacher, assistant principal or principal at the secondary level (grades 612) or superintendent.
- Experience with monitoring a special education program or TEA residential facility (RF).
- Experience involving development or implementation of a multi-tiered system of support or other student behavioral intervention strategies.
