Salary includes a take home car. Texas Municipal Retirement System Health and Life Insurance, 12 Holidays, Sick Leave, and two weeks Vacation after one year.
High school diploma supplemented with completion of an accredited basic police training school.
Previous experience as a law enforcement officer or completion of basic police academy and filed training period.
Police methods, practices and procedures, municipal ordinances, state and federal laws.
Conduct routine patrols and aid citizens and enforce the law.
Detect and analyze crimes. Cope with situations firmly, courteously, tactfully and with respect for the rights of others. React calmly and quickly under emergency conditions. Obtain information through interview, interrogation and observation. Understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.
