CDL A or B Ready Mix Truck Driver

(Abilene)

 Job Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL Class A or B), have a valid DOT physical
   or pass a company provided physical, and pass a drug screen
• Must have a clean, safe driving record, and excellent driving skills
• Must understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature relating to products
   and vehicles and take on those instructions to complete tasks
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being
   exposed to loud noises

Job Responsibilities:

• Delivery of Ready Mix Concrete Products
• Work closely with dispatch, maintenance, and plant management to facilitate the flow of
   information required to provide good customer service
• Receive delivery ticket and follow instructions as directed
• Position truck under the batch plant to be loaded by the Batch Plant Operator/Plant
   Manager
• Maneuver truck on job site including attaching chutes to discharge material

Skills Knowledge, and Abilities You'll Need:

• Must understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature relating to products and
   vehicles and take on those instructions to complete tasks
• Must have excellent driving skills
   Promote coworker, customer, and public relations with a positive attitude in the performance
   of duties
• Knowledge of general principles and practices of operating and servicing ready-mix trucks is
   preferred but training will be provided if required
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to
   loud noises
• Must be able to speak, read, and have a working knowledge of the English language

Salary: 

• $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
