Registered Nurse
Performs the primary duties of a professional nurse in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Department areas. Manages supplies, and equipment, and supervises personnel in the areas and promotes team efforts with physicians and personnel of other departments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Personal Job-Related Skills: Demonstrated ability in nursing practice. Requires effective oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
- Licensure, Registry or Certification: Current RN licensure by the State of Texas. BLS, ACLS and PALS required. TNCC required within 1 year.
- Experience:
- Prior Work Experience: Two years’ experience as a professional Registered Nurse in a Emergency Department area is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is not an all-inclusive list of duties; however, it is a general description of the Regular duties of the Emergency Room Nurse.
- Provide general and emergent nursing care to the patients in accordance to nursing standards.
- Assess and triage patients based on acuity and assist other emergency department team members as needed.
- Participates in Performance and Process Improvement for Department
- Direct and guide LVN’s and other personnel to assist with care of patients within their scope of practice.
SALARY: $35.00 per hour
