Facilities Operation Assistant (Brownwood)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This non-supervisory full-time position is responsible for event setup/tear down including AV assistance for various groups.
Duties
- Facilities Operations Assistant will perform routine cleaning and custodial work in the Community Facilities Department and surrounding parking area.
- Sets up equipment, furnishings or fixtures for banquets, dances, concerts, and all other activities; dismantles and cleans up after events.
- Assists in setting up all requested media for events, sound system, lighting system, etc.;
- Keep all audio/visual equipment including Community Facility laptops updated and current.
- Sweeps, mops, strips, waxes and buffs floors and vacuums carpets.
Requirements
- Must have enough education to read and write effectively for this position.
- Must be able to comprehend and speak the English language.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is a plus but is not required.
- Custodian experience preferred; must be able to interpret cleanser labels and such.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License. Certified CPR.
Salary; $14.42 hour
