Lawn King in Abilene, Texas is looking to fill their Lawn Service Supervisor position.

• Preparing all necessary items for crews to begin work each day.
• Daily supervision of all technicians, laborers, specialists and subcontractors working in his/her assigned area.
• Provide direction to crews regarding scheduling and completion of work as efficiently as possible.
• Provide training to crews on tasks necessary to complete projects as well as required safety practices.
• Provide daily feedback and evaluation of performance as well as conduct annual performance reviews.
• Train staff on safety procedures and conduct site visits to ensure compliance, taking any corrective action as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Safety Responsibilities:

• Seeks to continually improve workplace safety by conducting workplace inspections, toolbox talks, hazard assessments etc.
• Stops unsafe work practices and works with site staff to eliminate / mitigate hazards before continuing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read and understand plans, material lists, guidelines and meet timelines.
• Knowledge of landscape operations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Problem-solving skills.
• On call duties as assigned.
• Must be willing and able to respond within contractual guidelines.

Education and Experience

• Valid driver license and a good driving record are required to drive a company vehicle.
• No experience necessary. Owner is willing to train a qualified candidate.
• A strong work ethic in a labor-intensive environment is required.

Work Conditions/Physical Demands

• Capable of working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Reaching, bending, squatting, walking.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
• Use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms. Vision abilities include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
