Deputy Constable-Bailiff

Bailiffs will:

• Maintain order in courtroom during trial and guard jury from outside contact.
• Check courtroom for security and cleanliness.
• Enforce courtroom rules of behavior and warn persons not to disturb court procedure.
• Provide jury escort to restaurant and other areas outside of courtroom to prevent jury contact with public.
• Make warrant arrest and take persons into custody.
• Report needs for police or medical assistance or prisoner transport to sheriff's office.

All applicants must have 1-2 years of experience in law enforcement. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Starting Salary: $49,000.00 per year + benefits
