Instructor - Diesel Equipment Technology
Job Description:
The technical instructor is responsible for performing all aspects of instruction for assigned program to include, but not limited to, implementing, revising, and evaluating assigned program area curriculum; utilizing all resources available to innovate and to change to meet evolving program and industry needs. The technical instructor provides up-to-date skills training and instruction to meet the learning needs of students.
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- Associates degree in a related field or approved alternate certification/training.
- An AAS degree in Diesel Technology and demonstrated competency in the teaching discipline or a bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline.
- At least five years of work experience in the Diesel industry
- ASE T8 Preventive Maintenance Inspection Certification.
- ASE (Professional) Certifications, T2 through T8.
- Manufacturer's certifications.
- ASE L2 is a plus.
- Demonstrated competency in the field.
- Demonstrate competency with the use of technology that supports learning and teaching; Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignments, as appropriate; Able to work effectively in a team environment; commitment to the mission and vision.
- This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
Salary Range: $57,000 - $80,000 per year (based on education and experience)
