Instructor - Welding Technology
Job Description:
The technical instructor is responsible for performing all aspects of instruction for assigned program to include, but not limited to, implementing, revising, and evaluating assigned program area curriculum; utilizing all resources available to innovate and to change to meet evolving program and industry needs. The technical instructor provides up-to-date skills training and instruction to meet the learning needs of students.
Welding Faculty requires a minimum of 5 years industrial experience in the Welding and Fabrication Industry. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in all welding disciplines including GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW on plate and pipe and Plasma and Oxy-Acetylene cutting procedures as well. Must be highly proficient at blueprint reading and pipefitting theory and its application. NDTE experience (level 2 preferred) and strong metallurgical background needed. Thoroughly understand and abide by all industry safety standards and procedures associated with the above processes.
Annual compensation potential for this position may range from $64,140 to 70,980 based upon education, experience, and ability to credential as faculty. This includes potential retention bonus.
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- Associates degree in related field or approved alternate certification/training.
- Demonstrated competency in the field.
- Demonstrate competency with use of technology that supports learning and teaching; Maintains a flexible schedule, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignment, as appropriate; Able to work effectively in a team environment; commitment to the mission, vision.
