General Description:
- Position is under the general supervision of the Admissions Director.
- Duties include the assessment of individuals presenting for screening, intake, and hospital follow-up, gathering and organization of client history, timely completion of the intake process and paperwork, and assignment of consumer to case management services.
- Position will require knowledge of mental illness, thorough assessment skills, professionalism, and excellent time management ability.
- The applicant should have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate services to ensure the individual's needs are met.
- Work requires comprehensive assessments and frequent contact with individuals, families and service providers.
- Requirements are to complete necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely manner for above responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Experience is preferred, Bachelors or Master’s degree in subject area to qualify as a QMHP.
- Knowledge of mental illness and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, medications, and resources is essential.
- Performing a wide range of intake and continuity duties.
- Professionalism in dealing with community officials and resources is a must, displaying good oral and written communication skills.
- Computer skills are essential; must be able to work in stressful situations.
- A valid Texas Driver’s License with driving record to comply with CFLR is essential.
