Silver Spring in Abilene is seeking an LVN or RN Charge Nurse for the night shift.
Description
As a RN/ LVN you will supervise the nursing unit and coordinate the effective use of personnel, supplies, equipment and facilities. Additional responsibilities include:
- Reviewing staffing patterns and census of nursing units; reassigning personnel when necessary to ensure residents needs and budgetary controls are met
- Managing and analyzing patient care following admission/readmission; conducting initial assessment for newly admitted or readmitted patients
- Assisting in creating and implementing care plans that address individual residents' needs
- Administering medications, IV therapy, gastronomy tube management as well as some wound care
- Monitoring residents and communicating changes to physicians
- Ensuring appropriate documentation of resident care and maintaining medical records to ensure safe, efficient and therapeutic care to residents
- Troubleshooting and investigating complaints, taking necessary action to resolve problems as necessary.
Minimum Education: Vocational School Certificate - LVN
Pay: $30-$40/hr depending on experience
