- Environmental Health & Safety: end to end product waste reduction, water usage reduction, energy reduction, management of change, all EHS aspects related to managing product portfolio for safe & sustainable value streams within the plant.
- Focus on customer satisfaction via value stream improvement: meeting customer milestones, quality deliverables, RM supplier management and improvement, customer visits & interactions Create & maintain plans to work with all key customers.
- Driving PPU, COPQ, RTT (run to target), & DPPM. Respond and develop root cause and corrective actions for customer complaints.
- Input to the LVS Strategy Deployment and insuring Plant/Area/Global alignment on the priorities back into the local VSIP. Translates vision and strategy into tactics within the plant value stream organization & plant value stream execution in conjunction with operations.
- Delivers OP assumptions - focus on controllable OPEX; drive to improve costs/unit plans and P&L results via Lean processes. Manage and drive unit costs for plant value streams. Supplier management to drive plant COPQ and overall process & product capabilities.
- Harmonized efforts with site/functions/other VS leaders to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
- Focus on supporting growth, speed, and excellence in manufacturing performance
- Creates a Lean Culture mindset managing and developing personnel by fostering a team environment, collaborative working style, and servant leadership modeling with a sense of urgency.
- Develops knowledge about the Value Stream, its Customers, its Products, its Suppliers and Competitors.
- Communicates and represents Plant with external clients, Advance 3M, Business, Division Stakeholders
- Supports people in their development providing coaching and mentoring.
- Promoting and implementing elements of lean systems, being a benchmark site.
- Community Engagement Be an active participant of the Brownwood Operating Committee. Working toward site-wide solutions to common issues and opportunities.
- Participating in and become a leader in the Central Texas community.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Seven (7) years manufacturing plant experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Five (5) years of team leadership experience
