$10.70 per hour

our expectation that each employee will offer their services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our mission.
? This position is responsible for the program management, planning and oversight of the education service area all the
teaching staff by providing management, leadership, guidance, supervision and evaluation to ensure quality teaching and
learning is delivered to the children and families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead by example and establish positive and productive relationships with teachers; be aware of your values as an
educator and display approachability and trustworthiness. Build trust. Maintain confidentiality
2. Collaborate with leadership staff in planning and developing written agency plans, policies and procedures
relating to the child development and education systems. Collaborate with other department service areas.
3. Ensure curriculum with fidelity is in place and that the curriculum supports the Head Start Early Learning
Outcomes Framework and is responsive to the cultural and linguistic backgrounds of children and families.
4. Establish, review and implement school readiness goals. Aggregate, analyze, and interpret school readiness data.
5. Monitor education content area and supervise all quality teaching and learning staff to ensure that education
components comply, and rules, regulations, policies and procedures are being followed. Implement
accountability measures and develop ongoing monitoring methods to ensure compliance.
6. Provide oversight to ensure that learning environments are safe, healthy, nurturing spaces that support the
development of all children, offer developmentally appropriate practices and meet safety and health guidelines.
7. Implement and monitor Practice Based Coaching program that will provide effective, nurturing and responsive
teaching practices and interactions.
8. Establish professional positive and productive relationships with teachers; be aware of your values as an educator
and display approachability and trustworthiness.
9. Serve as chairperson on the School Readiness Advisory Committee and address the education service area and
establish links with the public schools for the children’s continued development.

10. Maintain verbal and written communication systems.
11. Oversee quality teaching and learning staff training onboarding training and ongoing needs. Base ongoing training
on ongoing monitoring and their professional development needs.
12. Design and coordinate professional development events to provide, plan and/or conduct trainings and/or
professional development opportunities.
13. Maintain content development expertise and certifications.
14. Adhere to all required federal, state and local regulations and policies as related to the agency and children.
Adhere to center policies.
15. Be an advocate for all children, families and the agency. Encourage parent engagement and involvement.
16. Perform all job duties and responsibilities as directed by the Executive Director.
17. Report any problems or concerns to Executive Director
18. Flexibility in work hours and job duties.
19. Reports unsafe or illegal actions and understands they will be held accountable for their own actions.
20. This is not intended to be inclusive and may be assigned to perform other responsibilities or duties as assigned by
the Executive Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
? Must be at least 18 years old
? Must be able to pass all criminal background checks
? Must have a valid driver’s license to be placed on agency insurance and drive agency vehicles.
? Within in 30 days of employment, must be Pediatric CPR & First Aide certified and have a clear TB skin test
? Must be a steady reliable worker
? Must be able to perform tasks independently after given specific instructions
? Must display strong written and verbal skills. Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired
? Intermediate computers skills to include Microsoft Office, internet use, data entry and email.
? Must have ample knowledge and proven practice in child development practices, and laws and regulations.
? Must have skills in, positive relationships, peer support, and conflict resolution.
? Must be able to multitask and maintain documentation on training and support provided
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
? Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, crouch, stand for several hours, walk short distances and reach
heights
? Vision sufficient for supervision of children
? Must have sufficient strength and manual skill to lift children
? Must obtain a work physical within 90 days of employment and an annual physical thereafter.
ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS
? Required work habits include regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, promptness & communicate appropriately
? The ability to handle a fast paced changing environment
? Ability to maintain respectful relations and communication with staff, parents, children and community
? Maintain strict confidentiality.
