ARRA Funds

Training Opportunities
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) allows local workforce areas to contract with public institutions of higher education for class-sized training to facilitate rapid implementation of training and increased training capacity. Organizations that are interested in providing training for high-growth, high-demand occupations may submit an application at any time using the Request for Proposals for Class-Sized Training in High Growth, High Demand Occupations application packet. Proposals are reviewed on a monthly basis and applicants will be notified of the status of their proposal.

Higher education providers and non-public organizations such as proprietary schools, community-based organizations, organized labor, and private employers may also submit proposals to conduct skill training that leads to attainment of 1 or more industry-recognized certifications. Applications may be submitted at any time using the Request for Proposals Skill Training application packet.
